Opticonx Announces New State-of-the-Art Furcation Tubing Center in Partnership with Fiber Optic Center

New center to make it easier for customers to access Opticonx's LightTube furcation and breakout tubing portfolio, thanks to global distribution agreement with FOC

Putnam, CT — August 14, 2024 —  Opticonx, a USA-based manufacturer of fiber optic cabling components and systems - a key brand in Belden’s broadband solutions portfolio and a sub brand of Precision Optical Technologies -  has announced a new global distribution agreement with its partner Fiber Optic Center, Inc. (FOC). FOC has created a new furcation tubing center that will provide customers with improved access to Opticonx’s  LightTube™ furcation and breakout tubing portfolio. 

Opticonx’s LightTube™ portfolio is designed for the protection, termination and identification of all types of buffered optical fibers. With established and rigorous best practices, detailed inspections and standard operating procedures, the furcation tubing center will revolutionize the production, reliability and performance of the fiber optic cable assembly process. Furthermore, it will offer customers unparalleled quality, speed to market and a strengthened commitment to healthy production environments.

The Fiber Optic Center furcation tubing center opened in May 2023, and tubing inventory is readily available at the warehouse located in New Bedford, Connecticut. The FOC is now taking orders directly for all products within the  LightTube™ product family.
